KunYin is proud to partner with Marici — an organisation working to restore freedom and provide healing for young girls rescued from trafficking.
Through intelligence-led disruption of trafficking networks, strategic legal action, and collaboration with local governments, Marici works to dismantle exploitation at its roots. Alongside this, they strengthen communities to prevent harm and provide long-term aftercare and healing support for survivors.
The SheRises Program
Through the KunYin® x Marici partnership, She Rises – The Voice of Saraswati was created to support girls through a consistent, trauma-informed journey of movement, emotional expression and nervous system regulation.
What began as a six-week program in Nepal has grown into an ongoing journey. The girls are now in their sixth six-week journey.
And we are seeing something beautiful happen. Girls who once relied heavily on copying the instructor are increasingly making their own movement choices. Girls are becoming more comfortable with stillness and relaxation. They are expressing emotions including sadness, anger and frustration, asking questions, exploring movement more freely and discovering what helps their own bodies feel calm, safe and connected.
Most importantly, they are not just participating in the experience.
They are beginning to make it their own.
More freedom in their bodies
Girls are increasingly moving independently rather than relying on copying the instructor.
Greater emotional expression
Girls are becoming more willing to name and express emotions including sadness, anger and frustration.
A growing capacity to settle
We are seeing deeper engagement with meditation, relaxation and stillness, including girls choosing to remain resting after classes have finished.
More choice and autonomy
Girls are increasingly exploring movement in their own way, following what feels right for their bodies and making their own choices within the experience.
This is what long-term, consistent support makes possible.
